Having become one of Ankara's leading cultural and artistic centers, Altındağ fills a significant gap in these areas. As in the past, Altındağ remains Ankara's capital of culture and art, preserving its past and values ​​by showcasing both modern art and the culture that reflects our own traditions.

Located at the heart of history, culture, and art in Ankara, Altındağ has transformed through various projects and transformations into a place reflecting Ankara's culture and history, hosting art galleries and museums, important academic meetings, and showcasing all forms of art.

One of Altındağ Municipality's services to culture and art, aiming to add value to Ankara with every action and investment, is the construction of the Mevlevi Lodge in Hamamarkası.

Opened on December 15, 2017, Ankara's only Mevlevi Lodge has begun hosting cultural and artistic programs in addition to Mevlevi events.

The Culture and Arts Center, which holds a significant place in Anatolian and Ankara culture and is built in the style of a Mevlevi lodge, consists of two buildings. The Ankara Mevlevi Lodge, located in the garden of the Cenabı Ahmet Paşa Mosque (Mimar Sinan's only work in Ankara) and demolished in the 1950s, was rebuilt by Altındağ Municipality in Hamamarkası.

The building, constructed as a Culture and Arts Center in the style of a historical Ankara house, has begun to be used by Altındağ Municipality for cultural and artistic events.

The new Mevlevi Lodge, whose artistic decoration was carried out by members of the St. Petersburg Artists' Union in Russia, includes a library as well as conversation rooms.

Functioning as a Culture and Arts Center, the Mevlevi Lodge offers its visitors a historical and mystical atmosphere with its oil paintings, calligraphic panels on wood with enamel and gold leaf, ceiling decorations, stained glass panels, hand-woven carpets, and wooden seating arrangements.

Ankara's only Mevlevi lodge will continue its activities as a place where culture, art, literature, and history will be preserved and passed on to future generations, under the management of Altındağ Municipality.
