Non-Sanitary Establishment License Procedures
Establishments that cause, or have the potential to cause, harm to their surroundings physically, mentally, chemically, microbiologically, or socially, and that pollute natural resources.
First-Class Non-Sanitary Establishment: Workplaces that must be kept away from residential areas. (Licenses for workplaces in this class are issued by the Metropolitan Municipality.)
Second-Class Non-Sanitary Establishment: Workplaces that do not necessarily need to be removed from residential areas, but before approval, an inspection must be conducted to ensure that their facilities and layout will not harm the health and rest of nearby residents.
Third-Class Non-Sanitary Establishment: Workplaces that can be opened next to residential areas, but are subject to sanitary supervision only.
Licenses for second- and third-class non-sanitary establishments are issued by our Municipality.
