Ahi Yakup Camii

According to the inscription above the entrance, it was built in 1391 by Ahi Yakup. It is located in the İsmetpaşa neighborhood of Altındağ. The mosque, which has a rather simple structure, is accessed via a staircase leading to the last prayer area. Its mihrab is made of plaster and bears the inscription of the Kalima-i Tawhid (Declaration of Faith). Situated on a sloping terrain in the İsmetpaşa neighborhood, the mosque is accessed via an 11-step staircase from the east facade. It is a simple structure built of adobe on a stone foundation, with a tiled roof. Notable for its mihrab, typical of 14th-century Ankara mosques, this mosque is among the places of worship worth visiting.
